they just go into it say hey guys this is the workout and then they do the workout it worries me [Music] hi everyone my name is Marisa I’m a certified personal trainer I’m here to show you some online workouts and write them on a scale of 1 to 10 for intensity effectiveness and enjoyment so that you can make the best decisions for your fitness goals moving forward I am actually fasting today which means no strength training and no high intensity cardio so I am going to do a PopSugar fitness review today it has been highly requested and I have never heard of them before so I looked them up and I was blown away by the amount of workouts they had and the duration because often when I see YouTube workout but they’re usually very quick like 10 minute 15 minute workouts but they’re out here doing 30 minutes to an hour’s worth of workouts which i think is great my workouts are fairly long and if you haven’t done those yet I’d love for you to check them out but anyway I wanted something not too strenuous since it should be a rest day when you’re fasting or just some light cardio so I decided to do their 30 minute hip-hop Tabata workout to torch calories so that should be interesting it has 22 million views so clearly a lot of people have done in the past I figured since it’s a fairly popular one that’s something you guys might want to see but comment below if you want me to review a different pop sugar video this is a series on my channel I love doing it I love trying new workouts so if you have one from pop sugar that isn’t this one that you really want me to do leave it below okay well we’re getting a storm so we’ll see how the lighting is if it becomes pitch-black during the workout I don’t know what to do I can’t control the weather right now so let’s just get started and see how it goes [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] hi welcome back um it is the next day and the sun is shining so that’s good that was fun for enjoyment I’m definitely reading that a 10 out of 10 it was really really fun and I might be biased because I am a hip-hop dancer so anything in that realm is just really exciting for me either way I think even if you the moves they used were so fun and creative so it wasn’t just like a normal hit workout because it was more hip-hop based it really allowed the instructor to do a lot more cool things honestly I would love to make a class like that if it whether it’s a live class or a workout on YouTube that I’ll post I swear that is my new calling that just was so much fun for me I would love to instruct people in that manner I already love hit I love hip-hop if I combine the two another reason why I really enjoyed it it’s because she pumps you up and makes you feel super motivated throughout the entire workout she’s constantly talking to you making you feel good about the movements and keeping you excited keeping going for intensity I’m going to rate this in eight out of 10 it was difficult but not difficult enough to where I couldn’t complete the movements and you could reduce the intensity or increase the intensity just depending on how you do the movements yourself so if you’ve sat low in those squats the entire time the intensity is gonna go up and for effectiveness I’m going to give that a 10 out of 10 as well of course it’s a really efficient way to burn calories especially because it is motivating you’ll get excited to do that workout or similar workouts again which will ultimately make the entire thing more effective because you’ll actually continue to do it let’s say we had a super challenging workout that you just could not complete it didn’t make you feel good the moves weren’t fun and too difficult sure the workout itself may be super effective for what it’s trying to achieve but if you do not enjoy it you’re not going to come back therefore it’s ineffective because it’s not helping you do anything because it’s not making you want to keep doing it do you see what I mean do I make sense I love that it included a warm up and a cool down with all these influencer workouts I’ve been doing really not a lot of people show a warm up or cool down they just go into it saying hey guys this is the workout and then they do the workout a warm up and a cool down or so so necessary for everything every type of exercise so when I see people neglect the whole component of their workout it worries me I also loved how they showed modifications for beginners and advanced levels so the girl that was on the right was the beginner style and the one that was on the left was the more advanced so you could see how both types move and you could see what would fit well for your personal experience level honestly I would have put myself in the advanced category but that girl on the left was going so low I don’t know if I could have handled it for that long like props to her that would have upped the intensity for me to like a 10 out of 10 my legs would have been burning and that’s another thing to bring up is that this is also a really great leg workout as well because you are basically in a squat position and doing jump squats throughout the entire workout so that is really gonna be a great leg workout aside from aside from it just being cardio overall it included all of the components of a great online workout I am very pleased with it if I were to workout at home let’s say the gyms do shut back down and I need to keep at it and I wanted something that was going to motivate me to keep going something that I could do in the comfort of my apartment I would definitely look into PopSugar because the great thing is their stuff is free it seemed to me like the types of online workouts that you would have to pay a lot of money for and they’re all free and they’re decent lengths it’s not just a 10 minute sneak peek of the paid version they’re actually giving you the whole thing which i think is pretty cool if you like their stuff you definitely go check them out I just finished my three-part workout series as well so if you’re looking for another change something that is science fact and proven to work so definitely recommend
